University of Umeå

The University of Umeå ( Umeå Universitet ) is a public university in the Swedish city of Umeå . The university was founded in 1965 and fifth the oldest university in Sweden. In 2012 the university according to the British magazine “Times Higher Education (THE)” the 23th higher education institution in the world that existed more than 50 years. [1]

In 2013, the Umeå University had more than 36,000 registered students, of whom 17 000 full-time students (including graduate students) were. The university has more than 4,000 employees, including 365 professors.
